General administrative template only. It is not a statutory inspection, safety inspection, certification or statement of compliance. A competent person must define the inspection criteria, required evidence, decisions and approval process for your work.
How to use it
A useful report connects every observation to an action.
Agree the inspection purpose and criteria before anyone uses the form. Use the same project names, work areas and status labels that the site team and office already recognise.
This template does not define what must be inspected.
It only provides an administrative structure for recording an inspection your competent people have already defined. It does not replace project procedures, regulations, standards, professional judgement or specialist forms.
Identify the exact area.
Record the project, location, work item and inspection purpose.
Describe what was observed.
Reference photographs and documents that another person can find later.
Assign every action.
Give each correction an owner, due date and clear status.
Record the close-out.
Keep the final evidence and review outcome with the original observation.
